Saturday @ 1pm with Samuel Samways
Through cross-disciplinary techniques of body awareness, contemporary dance, and the fusion of Latin American social dances (Tango, Zouk, ForrΓ³, and Samba de Gafieira), participants are invited to access different bodily states that lead to the deconstruction of rigid patterns and socially imposed norms, fostering mutuality, horizontality, and non-coercive relationships.

Saturday @ 1pm with Lessa Lamb
How does one show off without being "showy"? How do you engage the audience while staying true to the music, your partner AND your personal aesthetic while under the judges eyes? In this class, we will walk right up to the 4th wall, knock it down, built it back up, and poke our heads through to express our truest selves under the spotlight.

Saturday @ 2:30pm with Mark Carpenter
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Break your dance and scoop out the creative insides. Learn to use constraints to create new spaces to play with your partners. Flail your way out of that rut. Surprise your partner. Surprise yourself. Surprise your therapist.
There will be opportunities to move a lot, and not just in dance modalities. This class is all levels, though will be more rewarding if you are already comfortable with some forms of embrace and dance connection. It will also be more rewarding if you are willing to get a bit silly and not take yourself too seriously.

Saturday @ 2:30pm with Taylor Kinney
Maybe youβre anxious about competitions. (Maybe youβre even anxious about being anxious and afraid the nerves will impact your ability to have fun during the weekend.) This workshop will meet you where you are and help you prepare to show up for the competition as the best, most present version of yourself. Together will build a personalized pre-comp ritual to prepare your body, regulate your nervous system, and center your mind to help you get in the zone βnot just for the comps, but bring your best, most centered self to the social dance floor.

Sunday @ 3pm with Terra Formidable

Note: Please bring a jacket or outer layer that you can remove as part of our exercise and experimentation⦠bonus if your layer has zippers or buttons!
