Community Activity Exchange
During the day Champagne and Sunshine will be a DIY community space! Anyone can create space for connection and collaboration.
These are not workshops, this is not an unconference. We want to help people create intentional space made by the community for the community.
Have you ever had something you’ve felt inspired to give to the fusion community, but have never had the money, venue or platform for it? Well, we’ve rented out this huge, beautiful venue, Oakland’s Omni Commons. Time slots and floor spaces are open to what you are most excited to create (i.e. a musician jam, breathwork, acro-yoga, clowning, a clothing swap, shibari, sensory/stimuli play, an open mic, etc., OR partner dance skill shares… (The world is your oyster). We are ditching the traditional hierarchy of teachers and students, and asking anyone who wants to bring their community ideas to life to tell us what you have in mind. We did all the upfront work for you, now bring us all together!
In alignment with our values all community exchanges are FREE! Ticket purchases make these exchanges possible, but anyone can participate regardless of a ticket purchase. No one can charge for participation and no one will profit from a community exchange.
Feel free to bring practices and experiences to share that have shaped your fusion cultural community experience outside of partner dance! ...No idea is too big or too small.
