Mutual leading & following
Saturday @ 1pm with Samuel Samways
Through cross-disciplinary techniques of body awareness, contemporary dance, and the fusion of Latin American social dances (Tango, Zouk, Forró, and Samba de Gafieira), participants are invited to access different bodily states that lead to the deconstruction of rigid patterns and socially imposed norms, fostering mutuality, horizontality, and non-coercive relationships.
Saturday @ 1pm with Lessa Lamb
show it off
How does one show off without being "showy"? How do you engage the audience while staying true to the music, your partner AND your personal aesthetic while under the judges eyes? In this class, we will walk right up to the 4th wall, knock it down, built it back up, and poke our heads through to express our truest selves under the spotlight.
Saturday @ 2:30pm with Mark Carpenter

Get In The Zone
Maybe you’re anxious about competitions. (Maybe you’re even anxious about being anxious and afraid the nerves will impact your ability to have fun during the weekend.) This workshop will meet you where you are and help you prepare to show up for the competition as the best, most present version of yourself. Together will build a personalized pre-comp ritual to prepare your body, regulate your nervous system, and center your mind to help you get in the zone –not just for the comps, but bring your best, most centered self to the social dance floor.
SUNDAY
SUNDAY
Sunday @ 3pm with Terra Formidable
jaw-dropping burlesque
In this class you’ll learn to capture attention, build anticipation and deliver lasting impact through connection. Connection to self and the character you embody, connection to the music and the emotional tone set, and connection to those you invite in to witness your creative expression.
Note: Please bring a jacket or outer layer that you can remove as part of our exercise and experimentation… bonus if your layer has zippers or buttons!
